Dear Parents,
Welcome to First Grade! This first month back to school is flying by, and we have been working hard on learning class routines and rules, ways to make friends and show kindness, and how to show respect at school, home, and in our community. We also were very excited to meet our new buddies in fourth grade! They surprised us with a fun visit and made thoughtful cards/invitations to our first buddy lunch.
Open House will be on Wednesday, September 27th from 6:00-7:30PM. I hope to meet you all soon and truly look forward to helping your child learn and grow this year! My goal is for each child to love first grade, make many new memories, and succeed by meeting his/her academic potential this year. Please know that I am excited to work together and plan to be in contact with you often throughout the year! I also welcome parent volunteers, so if you're available and interested in helping out in our classroom, please be sure to sign up at Open House!

October 5th: Field Trip to Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards (9:30-1:00)
October 6th: Grandparents'/Special Persons' Day (AM)
October 9th: No School (Columbus Day)
October 13th: School Walk-A-Thon (10:25-11:05)
October 31st: Halloween Parade & Class Party (PM)
